Best Branded Gifts for Your Work Team This Holiday Season Part 2: Bundles

Whether you’re starting at this article or coming from part one of the best branded gifts for your work team series, you may not yet have the perfect idea for your unique team of colleagues or employees. They work hard all year, and they deserve a nice holiday present, right? But what’s the perfect gift, that won’t break your budget or steal their bonuses, and also doesn’t come across like a cheap cop-out?

Personalized and promotional gifts have come a long way. In the first part of this series, we discussed larger gifts that do well on their own. Here, we’re going in a different direction: The goodie bag.

We’ll explain what “the goodie bag” is, what forms it can take and how you can brand small products to make it clear just who it is spoiling these hard workers — Santa can’t take all the credit!

What Is a Branded Goodie Bag?

The goodie bag gift avenue doesn’t have to mean literally stuffing everything into bags — though that is an option! You can also go with:

  • Gift baskets
  • Santa hats
  • Christmas stockings
  • Cocoa mugs
  • Wrapping paper
  • Sweaters
  • T-shirts

The list goes on. Really, anything that can be formed into a carrier for other items can make a great stand-in bag with a bit of creativity, and these items can usually be branded so that even the “packaging” matches and represents your business.

If you’ve already checked out part one of our series, you may have lots of ideas from there that you’d like to spruce up with some goodies, and we say go big or go back to the North Pole!

What Products Make the Best Fit for Holiday Goodie Bundles?

The trick here is to go small, especially for everything inside the bundle. If you don’t mind spending extra, you can select a holder for your goods that’s a part of the gift, such as a branded mug or blanket.

This step isn’t necessary if you’re trying to cut costs — plain bags, baskets or wrapping paper do just fine. But no matter what you select as your wrap or container, you’ll need to choose fairly small items to fit inside.

Some of the most popular promotional stocking stuffers are also the lowest cost, so you can really give people the sense of a full, fun gift without spending as much as you might on singular larger gifts. Consider:

  • Branded lip balm sticks with subtle, classy designsLip balm: Lip balm in and of itself is a highly popular promotional product, which is what has landed it (along with a few other items here) on our timeless promotional classics list. But it’s even better as a holiday gift for two reasons. First, lip balm is sorely — no pun intended — needed and highly sought after during the winter months, when the air is dry and lips are chapped. Two, thanks to a massive range of vendors and flavors, lip balm comes in tons of popular seasonal flavors. Think sugar cookie, hot chocolate, vanilla bean, cinnamon, pumpkin pie and peppermint.

  • Pens: Don’t just toss a bunch of old company pens in here if you do decide to include them. You’ll show the care you put in if you choose sleek, quality pens with your brand, logo and maybe even an inside company joke or inspirational quote. You could even make them holiday themed to suit the event! Fortunately, pens come in a range of prices, so you can customize to your heart and wallet’s content no matter your budget.

  • Candy: Who doesn’t love some delectable sweets in a holiday bundle? Christmas stockings are traditionally chocked full of gum, chocolate, gummies, mints and candy canes — and we’re not about to buck such a delicious tradition! The cool thing a lot of people don’t know about is that you can brand the packaging for most candy types. You’ll still need to provide nutrition facts along with the candy maker's brand, but your own messaging can be front and center on the wrapper. Bonus points for tins of mints or hard candies, since their containers are often reused.

  • Hot drink mixes: This gift pairs especially nicely with branded mugs. A branded bag of cocoa, tea, coffee or cider to keep your team warm and refreshed throughout the coldest months is sure to brighten everyone’s season. Even better, they can share their beverages with family at home. And hey, even if you don’t include these in the bundles, you could stock your break room or office kitchen with some to help in building a festive workspace.

  • Stress balls: Christmas can be a stressful time, filled with last-minute planning and Blue and white stress balls with uniform branding at the top of eachfrazzled gift buying. What’s more, the New Year is just around the corner. It’s exciting, but it also tends to come with a laundry list of new goals and tasks — ergo, stress. Put some fun holiday-themed or company-specific stress balls in your gift bundles to help your people blast away the tension and focus on the good times.

These are just a few of the countless great bundle gifts for you to consider in your holiday giveaways, but we hope we’ve gotten the ball rolling and the ideas flowing. Extra Promos for the Family

If many of your internal team members have spouses, kids or pets at home, you can’t go wrong with a little extra merch thrown in for good measure. Especially if you plan to host a holiday party as an end-of-year treat with your crew and their immediate family, you can easily spruce up the gift bundles to include some goodies for those in attendance and those waiting at home.

Some fun extras you can add to your bundles, which you can later separate by what’s added (for pets, for kids, for spouses, for families), include:

  • Dog treats in branded packagingColorful bags of dog treats with some unwrapped, yogurt-covered milk bones in front to show the bags' contents
  • Cat treats in branded packaging
  • Fidget spinners for kids
  • Extras of any included items for a spouse

Even if you don’t want to separate your bags by the makeup of your guests’ families, you can’t go wrong with some extra goodies. Adults love both fidget spinners and extra treats — and everyone knows at least one good dog!
